Looking for real hand on experience? Then CAPS is the right program for you! It counts as 3 of your high school elective credits and is part of your daily schedule.
Application Criteria
Be a junior or senior for the upcoming school year
- Attend high school in one of the participating school districts:
- Fort Zumwalt, Francis Howell, Orchard Farm, Wentzville, or St. Charles
- Be on track to graduate
- Provide your own transportation
Interested students should review their high school credits with their counselor to ensure participation in the SCC CAPS program, based on high school credits, is doable. The program counts for 3 elective credits. In addition to the SCC CAPS application, the SCC CAPS selection committee will also review the attendance, grades, and discipline of each applicant. Students applying must also provide ample information (depth & details) in their responses to the open-ended questions.
Students interested in being considered for the St. Charles County CAPS program for the 2024-2025 school year must complete an online application.

Deadline to apply for the 2024- 2025 school year is January 26, 2025
Early application deadline is Friday, January 24th, 2024. However, we are still accepting applications throughout the summer.
